MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) – A Jackson County Grand Jury has indicted a Carbondale man on two counts of first degree murder.

David Edwards, Jr., 29,  is accused of fatally shooting John Pruitt, 37, on October 3 in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in Carbondale.

Edwards is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. He faces between 45 years and life in prison, if he is convicted.
