Local health officials reported 62 new covid-19 cases on Friday.

Williamson County had 39 new cases; Franklin County 23 new cases.

Nearly a dozen counties in Southern Illinois are currently at the orange warning level.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported nearly 8,000 new cases, including 47 deaths, since last Friday.
