Feds notify states of possible vaccine delivery delays

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — The federal government has notified all states that COVID-19 vaccine deliveries may be delayed due to bad weather and poor road conditions.

To offset delays, state officials say they’ve ordered the vaccine to be delivered to it’s strategic stockpile site. From there, it will be delivered to healthcare providers across the state.

Delays may continue throughout the week and could be made worse by additional winter weather this week.
