Jefferson County schools show support

Jefferson County schools are rallying their support for a fellow student at Rome Grade School who was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday night north of Mt. Vernon.

Schoolchildren throughout the county are waring Rome’s school colors of green and yellow on Tuesday. The county is mourning the loss of Braden Tate, a fifth-grader who played on the school’s baseball team. He was hit by a vehicle and died later at a St. Louis hospital.
