Carbondale firefighters responded to a single story residential fire early Saturday morning in the 300 block of Pecan Street.

A fire department news release stated the fire broke out at 5:45 a.m. Fire crews reportedly performed defensive operations on the primary structures and two residences to the east and west. All of the properties were evacuated by fire and police personnel.

The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. The main structure was considered a total loss.

No injuries were reported.
