AVA, Ill. (WJPF) — A death investigation has been opened after the discovery of a body in Jackson County.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call in rural Ava around 12:40 AM Saturday.

At the scene they discovered the body of 37-year-old Edward Dudley of Dupo.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
