CAMBRIA, IL. (WJPF) – A three-year-old is said to be doing OK after the child was found wandering without clothes in Williamson County.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched around 7:00 AM Tuesday to an open field near Cambria.

The child’s parents were located at their home, unaware that the child was missing.

A news release from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office states that DCFS was contacted and, after an interviewing the parents and other children in the home, took steps to ensure the future safety of the children.

The person who found the child kept the three-year-old warm by placing them in their vehicle until law enforcement and first responders arrived.
