Construction on the over century old brick on Market Street in Marion has gotten underway.

Over the next few weeks, workers will replace the old bricks with over 125,000 new ones.

Market is the only remaining brick paved street in Marion and had fallen into serious state of disrepair in recent years.

Laying of the new brick is hoped to be completed by the end of October.
