Congressman Jerry Costello announced Sunday that the Marion VA Medical Center and the Mound City National Cemetery have received funding as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Recovery Act funds are going to “shovel ready” projects to create jobs and stimulate the economy. The projects include:

“This funding will help uphold the commitment we have made to our veterans to provide them the best possible medical care, while taking care of our VA cemeteries is an important show of respect for those who have given so much to our country,” said Costello. “Our veterans have made the freedom we enjoy possible, and our dedication to them must never falter.”
