Teen injured in Williamson County crash

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILL. – A Harrisburg teenager was injured in a three car crash in Williamson County.

State Police say the crash happened Thursday around 12:30pm at the intersection of Routes 13 and 166.

A preliminary accident investigation indicates that Gary Turcott, of Harrisburg, was driving east on 13 when he ran a red light at the intersection, hitting another vehicle driven by Mark Woolverton, of Grantsburg. The force of the crash cause Turcott’s vehicle to spin and hit another vehicle driven by Noah Lerch, of Marion.

16-year-old Garret Turcott, a passenger in the first vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was flown to an Indiana hospital. No other injuries were reported.
