Jackson County man sentenced on federal gun and drug charges

A Jackson County man has been sentenced to over 15 years in federal prison on gun and drug charges.

According to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office, 47-year-old Alphonso Allison, of Carbondale, had previously pleaded guilty to a three count indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and heroin, unlawful distribution of heroin, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

The release states that Allison was involved in the distribution of narcotics between 2015 and July 2016 in Jackson County.
