A Royalton man has been arrested for firing a gun into the air in Carbondale.

According to the Carbondale Police Department, 20-year-old Jordan Kalinsky was arrested Monday night for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Police say a business owner in the 600 block of East Main Street reported a car pulled up to the back of the business, a male passenger pulled out a gun, fired it into the air, and drove away. Police found the car parked nearby.

The driver, a female juvenile, was released into the custody of her family. Kalinsky was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
